LevyTec is a boutique engineering business providing companies and organizations with professional, flexible and personal support for the end-to-end development of complex products and systems. A successful product is measured by more than its 3D model or drawing. It must suit its operating environment, meet performance requirements, be manufacturable and easy to assemble, and support orderly testing, maintenance and delivery.

Mechanical Engineer and Energy Engineer, graduate of the Israeli Air Force, with extensive experience managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from the initial idea through manufacturing, integration and delivery.
Extensive experience in mechanical and electromechanical design, enclosures and wiring, systems engineering, quality and engineering documentation—with an emphasis on complex systems and products for the defense and technology industries.
Yair personally leads LevyTec’s activities, combining a systems-level perspective, hands-on experience and engineering management to turn requirements and ideas into production-ready products.
The scope of involvement is defined together with the customer—from focused support at a specific stage to comprehensive multidisciplinary project guidance.
Understanding the operational or business need, analyzing requirements and constraints, defining interfaces, breaking the system into assemblies, and planning deliverables, responsibilities and milestones. Engineering gaps, changes and risks are monitored throughout the project.
Development of parts, mechanisms and assemblies from concept through detailed design, with consideration for materials, loads, tolerances, assembly interfaces, environmental conditions, weight, maintenance and manufacturability.
Design and integration of enclosures, racks and units for electronic equipment and ground or airborne communication systems, including interfaces, connections, accessibility, wiring, thermal management and mechanical protection.
Definition of electrical interfaces, selection of connectors and components, design of harnesses and cables, production documentation, and support for assembly and testing—as part of a broader system or as a standalone project.
Reviewing the design from a manufacturing perspective, preparing drawings and documentation, managing bills of materials and components, and adapting details to production, assembly, testing and repeat manufacturing processes.
Sourcing components and suppliers according to engineering requirements, assessing technical suitability, coordinating with manufacturers, and monitoring production and delivery through suppliers in Israel and abroad.
Supporting assembly and integration, incoming inspection, handling nonconformities, verifying compliance with documentation and requirements, and preparing products for delivery. Testing and process control are considered from the design stage onward.
Development of systems for defense applications across land, air and maritime environments. Mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, electronic enclosures, communication systems, cabling and related solutions. Testing in accordance with accepted standards such as MIL-STD-810. Extensive experience with airborne assemblies.
Design and development of custom test equipment, as well as production assignments based on customer production files.
Experience in the design and integration of mechanisms, precision positioning and motion systems, control components, and electromechanical systems requiring close coordination between mechanics, electronics and software.
Multidisciplinary manufacturing capabilities including machining, heat treatment and coatings. Work with aluminum, stainless steel, steels, plastics and rubber. Dimensional inspection and quality assurance, small-batch and volume production, and assembly according to plan.
Design, manufacture, repair and testing of radomes and communication antenna assemblies in accordance with customer requirements. Performance and attenuation testing is carried out through communication laboratories and antenna test ranges.
The design was supplied by the customer. LevyTec performed the design review, procurement according to requirements, manufacturing, assembly, wiring, integration, quality control and documentation—without disclosing sensitive information.
Custom test equipment for an electronic system, including mechanical design, component integration, manufacturing and final assembly.
Manufacture and electromechanical packaging of an electro-optical communication unit in accordance with the customer’s design and requirements, including enclosure manufacture, component installation, cable routing, assembly and final integration.
Manufacture and assembly of a custom aluminum mechanical clamp according to customer requirements, including machining, surface finishing and quality inspection.
Adaptation, manufacture, integration and testing according to the customer’s operational requirements. The system includes a computerized controller and a bidirectional inverter motor for controlled winding and unwinding.
A system for testing pipes at pressures of up to 400 bar. LevyTec managed the procurement and import of a COTS system, implemented design and safety improvements, adapted the software to customer requirements, performed integration testing and provides ongoing on-site maintenance.
Design, manufacture and assembly of enclosures according to packaging needs and system requirements, including the design and manufacture of supports and infrastructure for hardware installation, orderly routing of internal wiring, and the design and manufacture of external cabling.
